89th Tablescape - Black & White - Elegance

Just in the mood for a litte bit of elegance!  Black and white the classic in elegance!
This "Live Laugh Love" candle holder was a birthday present from my son, Hasoona - thank you honey!

I used a piece of black and white checkered material I found at one of the many thrift stores I visit - laid it at an angle...

The dishes are "Paisley" by Johnson Bros./England - I picked these up at a Goodwill in MI when I was there in the fall - they made it home on the plane - one bowl broken!!!

The napkin rings - purchased 6/$2 - were brass - which I didn't care for so I painted 3 black and 3 white - here I have alternated them at the settings and set them in the glasses.

I set the buffet with a white table runner and the coffee/saucers from the set.

88th Tablescape - Chickens & Roosters (a table for two)

Along with changing out the tablescape - I try to incorporate the theme through the kitchen.....This kitchen towel is on the oven door - purchased 4 of them at Cracker Barrel in MI during my visit - $1.25 each!

A close up!

The spoon rest on the stove.

And now the tablescape -  this is a tablescape for two!

overview

The setting, the bowls are not part of the china set - they were purchased at the thrift store - 4/$2.25!  They are made by "Classic Ceramics"

Overview....

The coloring of these wheat glasses made them the pick for the setting.  The placemats - yes there are two stacked on top of each other....

The napkin rings are wooden roosters, the plates are "Independence Ironstone by Castleton China"

Found this cute little sugar bowl Chicken at the Hospice Thrift Store - $.50.

The candelabra was too elegant to pass up - I needed another one - like I need another chicken, rooster, chef, plate, bowl......you get the picture!

Another view of the candelabra - purchased at Goodwill - $10.06 - 25% off coupon (that was the selling point) final cost $7.54.

This corning ware baking dish went soo well with the tablescape I placed it on a chicken trivet, on the buffet.  The dish is dated 1975.

The whole tablescape - overview.

87th - Tablescape - Snowmen

Got a little behind again with posting my tablescapes.  Have got to get back into gear!  This tablescape was for New Year's - still winter - although it doesn't feel like it here in Florida!  Snowmen are a great mascot for the new year - they weren't there last winter, they are made with the fresh fallen snow, white and each original....
This is the snowman flag we fly outside....

Now this is the new addition to our family of snowmen.   Being a big fan of the "Chef's", my husband carved (yes - hand carved) this snowman chef for me for Christmas!

Being partial to the blue & white snowmen - I think partially because christmas is red - the blue and white snowmen seem to keep their own theme...

I picked up these plates at TJ Max a few years ago, they are Casa Bella and I paid $4 each for them.

The snow flake glasses and snowmen mugs are from the Dollar Tree - several years ago - for of course $1 each!

As you go through stores after christmas or thrift stores before christmas you can always find great buys on snowmen, candles or stuffed they are always different!

The candle holders are Publix snowmen....

One of my favorite snowmen is this one riding a motorcycle, you push a button and the engine reeves, and he sings "I'm just a snow machine....."How cute is that???

This is a carved snow angel.

This snowman candle was too cute not to include - even though he is red/white!

Along with the snowman tablescape - the guest bathroom got invaded with snowmen as well - gotta spread the snow.......

From our house to yours ---- table to table - Happy New Year!

86th - Tablesscapes CCW - Ladies Christmas Dinner

Our church had a Ladies Dinner.  Women volunteered to host a table, providing the entire tablescape for seven!  Here are just a few!
This first tablescape - is mine!  Blue and white, angels and snowballs!

White glass chargers, white Pflatzgraff - blue snowmen napkins - you can't go wrong.
This tablescape was Fabulous - wine and cheese being the theme.  The hostess's provided a cutting board, with cheese and grapes for their guests - they were featured on the center of the plates.

I loved the napkin rings and the little jars with candy canes on top.  An idea worth borrowing...>!!!!!

The red and green and presents - Christmas is the theme here.

Snowmen - love the little guys in the bowls..

The gold and maroon - very pretty!  The urn with the angels - but take a close up look at the china....(next pic).

This china is so pretty - and the maroon silverware and flower really set it off pretty.

This table was so well done - the hostess was very smart - she used Vanity Fair paper plates (for easy clean up) but she dressed them up....look at close up pic - next.

She added rhinestones and crystals along the edge, wired ribbon and crystal made up the napkin ring, and a blue paper napkin.  Her clean up was very easy....

And one more snowman tablescape - over the top with the centerpiece.....

Hope you enjoyed these tablescapes.  It was a fun and beautiful evening.  Thanks to all the women who hosted a table..
